Uganda’s first nuclear power plant in Buyende, 150 km north of Kampala, will feature two nuclear reactors. The project aims to significantly boost the country’s power generation capacity, supporting growing electricity demand. By integrating nuclear energy into its power mix, Uganda is taking key steps to diversify energy sources and reduce reliance on traditional forms of electricity generation.
