Oman
The construction in Dhofar Governorate involves building a concrete dam with an earthen core 15 km upstream of Salalah Port. It will be Oman's second-largest dam, storing over 83 million cubic meters of water. The 386-meter-long, 70-meter-high structure will span Wadi Adawnib. The work includes a control room, an 80-meter spillway, culverts, and various monitoring devices. The main objective is to protect the Salalah Port and Raysut industrial area from cyclonic storms, floods, sediment, and debris.
